Default Electric Cutout vs Aftermarket ?

so ive been doing some reading and its seems everyone favors the electric cutout nowadays. also seems like a cheaper solution to power gains for our turbo sc's. So my question is does anyone out there run this on there 1j sc and how do you like it? Ive heard of low end torque loss? and also where should i place it( b4 catalytic or after)

my setup would be:
1j stock twins
fmic 3 inch piping
aem afc
greddy boost controller
440cc injectors
afpr
aftermarket downpipe + electric cutout
stock catback
