Default Lets talk power steering

I currently have two severe power steering leak issues. Both in the lines going to and the cooler. I have a leak directly where the rubber hose attaches to the hard line going down the wall of the engine bay by the battery tray and I have a kink in the actually hard piping of the cooler itself that is now leaking.

Here you can see the OEM cooler and the two rubber lines center bottom of the picture that run into the engine bay

From the dealer these two pieces are $351.

We are talking about parts 8 and 9 in the diagram

Now my question is can't I just replace these two pieces with an aftermarket trans/oil cooler and the correct sized rubber tubing? And even gain a better performing unit for cheap even if i were to purchase something like B&M
