Default Any one here running a supra tt cruise cable on a gte swap?

Just curious as in looking at them it seems like it might work well but I figured I would ask here before I just go buying the 100.00 cable Google images showed it has been done before however since I have no 1st hand exp I figured I would be better off asking first

I have the cable and would recommend you getting one customized. It can work, but it is a bit too short. The cable will have to run over the turbos and valve covers.

your best option is to either find yourself a Soarer cruise cable or use a Supra TT cruise unit, which would involve removing/relocating your charcoal canister and extending the harness to reach it's new location. I got lucky and got a junk CC unit with my 1JZ swap and fits almost perfectly. Reaches the throttle no problem and works fine, but looks ugly going across my engine bay.

heres is my setup

its a tt supra cruise control unit. The cable is NOT modified. You do have to get creative to mount it in that location.

You will also have to extend a white/black wire on the body plug in order for it to reach the cruise control unit

Was that plug and play as far as the plugs go?

with an sc300 yes, the sc400's cruise control is wired a tiny bit differently

Ok so I am going to have to keep the 400 box and use the tt cable or find a soarer box with cable.

not necessarily, it may work with the sc400 I just can't confirm or deny it. IIRC there is one wire that runs through the engine harness of the sc400 for the cruise control. it's the only wire that's different.

you might pm tweaktech and ask for his insight
