Default Help me Fix my SC300 - black smoke

Recently my SC300 began to run very rough and the car is billowing black smoke out of the exhaust.
There is a strong fuel odor present and the car has completly shut off on me numerous times while driving. The last time I drove the car it got about 5MPG.

The car is throwing the following check engine light codes: 13, 24, 31

From the reading I have done codes 24 and 31 seem to indicate a malfuntioning AFM sensor. I changed the AFM and ECU for known working units and the symptoms persisted.

A mechanic friend of mine mentioned that a malfunctioning coolant can cause these symptoms.

I have done the 12v fuel mod, but the symptoms persisted.

I have a second GE laying around and I will be switching the injectors, wires, fuel regulator and ECT sensor in hopes that it will fix the problem

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing my 300 to billow black smoke and run like crap?
