Need Help - How to Put sc300 Distributor back in
hi all im still kind of new, but i have an issue with my car, and i need some advice from some people who know more about cars.
my issue is that i pulled out my distributor to get it checked out but did not realize i needed the striker to be in a certain position before taking it off
i replaced the parts that needed to be replaced but now i can't figure out how to get it back in safely
please post or pm me as soon as possible, and thank you all for your help

im no expert but this is what i did.
@TDC, i aligned the distri to cylinder 1 after I put it in. If your car starts then use a timing light to adjust the timing.
First time i put it in without knowing what I was doing, my car would crank but wouldnt start, pull code from diag port and the CEL would just keep blinking. I then adjust the distributor as described above and my car started.

I would recommend you to go to a certified tech to get your cap installed and get the timing adjusted right. I think the 97 had VVTi 2jz motors in them, which can be notorious if they are not timed right.
Good luck!
