greddy tps adapter . you can find them on ebay all day long .. 2 things to know , make sure you use longer allen key bolts for the ones provided are too short to secure it to the throttlebody and second , make sure you use your ge tps sensor as its follows the same rotation as the q45 , the gte tps works in the opposite direction .. i ave the above and been using for 2 yrs

Where do you get the thing that actually engages into the Toyota Tps from the q45 tb shaft.

thats part of the adapter i think, I got mine from beech performance on theirs you have to drill and tap a small hole on the q45 throttle shaft, sounds hard but it was actually pretty easy came with instructions
Havent used the greddy one but it looks nice, and my not need the drilling not positive cause I haven't used it.

I'm using the beech one. It doesn't come with a tap. Guess I gotta take apart my stock throttle body to get that piece out

you know now that you mention it I now remember making the trip to the store for the drill tap combo. also that piece you are talking about comes off your throttle body, I took it off a spare throttle body I had I think both the main tps and the trac tps will have it.

Yea I had to removed it and I'm in the process of doing that now but you gotta cut that piece down to fit because the tabs are too high. Basically you waste a whole throttle body to make one work. I hate that.

I'm working on my ffim now along with my tt ecu mod, I've got the basic fabrication of the ffim down and working on throttle body now. Do I want a q45 tb or could I use one of the universal tb off eBay that are 80 or 90mm?

And then my next question would be what tps to use...can a q45 tps be wired to work or do I need to use the ge tps? The up side to the ge tps is I already have it but it has coolant lines as I understand which seems weird. I see a few q45 tps around for $35-55.

I don't even know what Iacv is so I'll read up on that next.

Lastly would 80 or 90 mm be best? Assuming the cheapo universal tb is an option. I like the slim profile of those universal eBay tbs and the polished appearance.

go q45 or mustang 5.0.
q45 tps can be wired to work or use adapter with toyota one. mustange TB needs adapter for toyota tps.
the GE throttle body has coolant lines (not the tps throttle position sensor) but you should bypass or block the coolant lines coming to it, you generally don't hook them up again to the new throttle body.

IACV = Idle air control valve. black plastic thing next to the tps on the stock throttle body.
3" intercooler piping = 76 mm, so 80 or 90mm throttle body wont make too much of a difference.
If you are using 2.5" piping = 63mm, then the stock throttle body is not much of a restriction and is actually larger than that.

Just an update for anyone trying to use a 2jz GE VVTI tps...it spins in the opposite direction as the q45 throttle body and wont work. You need the 2jz GE NON VVTI tps to work with the q45 throttle body.
