This is the time of year when everything is on sale...except for the stuff I want. On a whim yesterday, I searched for promos on any of the limited SC400 header options. (PPE's are up to $1400 now??) To my surprise, OBX's turned up on Walmart, via Advance Manufacturing Group, for $272 + $37 s/h to my location (no pick-up options). Regular price is shown as $511, but I saw them listed elsewhere as $700 or $800. Part #10-1904-1.

That's a pretty tempting price, aside from OBX's reputation... Looking for fitment and feedback issues on them, I was reminded of this old thread. Uh, has no one really tried them in 10+ years on the market? It would be sort of funny if OBX has lost money in copying PPE's design, because no one trusts them enough to be a guinea pig.

My trust level in the product, relative to the time and effort involved in trying them out, is too low to pull the trigger, so just putting it out there for others that might be interested.

Got a set of Doug Thorley shorties for $200, if I remember correctly, for the 2UZ Tundra sitting in my garage that I've been meaning to install, along with other parts I've been delaying in installing. I will probably do these sooner rather than later. It's cold AF out here and really enjoy having skin on my knuckles at the same time.

I would expect you'll have some fitment challenges...

They'll probably need full custom exhaust, test pipes, or modified flanges to mate up, as well.

It's probably good news, I guess... Been planning an exhaust system, just wasn't sure how far I wanted to go. Since I've really liked the no muffler versions, but want to keep it quiet, since I leave for work at 3am, and am not trying to wake the entire city on my way to work.

Down to $238 now. Maybe they'll pay people to try them out soon?
