I still stand by my no snow for SC's.. lol. I have done it in the past with my other SC, and getting the underside clean afterwards is a mini project to say the least. People have been driving rear wheel drive in the snow if you know how to drive well its not a big deal. Some of our members wont even take their car out if the forecast has rain in it. makes it more challenging to organize meets.

oh and for the supra mk4 throttle cable and the camry one, the supra one is just long enough to fit a gte swap, the camry is a little longer and more forgiving, but did not reach on my FFIM that I made, which is similar to and shorter than the XS one. I had to get the longer v8 land cruiser cable, which had more than enough length to route cleanly.

Another option that hasnt been mentioned, is the Lokar throttle cables. You can cut them to the length needed. I used a Lokar for my FFIM, and just pulled the cable for the trans to full lock and put a cable clamp on it, never had an issue.

quick questions guys, so im thinking of doing the TT auto tranny swap since my goal is to only make around 450whp. so all i would need is the tt tranny and sc400 driveshaft? also if i was using aem v1 i dont have to switch the valve bodies and what wiring i would have to do to work with the aem v1?

Can anyone explain exactly why the ffim on a ge results in a loss of power? And I've driven my sc in the Utah snow just fine. The key is in leaving the trans in etc and traction control on. Also make sure your reas alignment components are up to spec

Stock manifold has a stright runner sdesign more torque off the line.... ffim results in more power in higher rpms. At least thats howbibunderstood it. I have a ffim and i def feel less torque off the lind til boost kicks then its over lol.

its not like you feel so much extra torque when its stock, but after you got FFIM you will notice a change all the way until you hit boost. the good news is once you do hit boost you should make up for it.

Hey CL Fam...I have a problem..I have a 98 Gs300 with the following, Supra block,n/a head, single turbo. I recently installed new ffim from xspower and had to use a mustang throttlebody 75mm (86-93). I have wired the tps and blocked off the IAC. I have no kickdown. I have to shift myself in order to go down a gear which is crazy as I have an aristo ecu and auto tranny. Do I need to purchase and wire the IAC for the mustang throttlebody in order to solve my problem and if so can I get some help with wiring it...Thanks.

old thread but if you are auto you need to keep your trans line cable that went to the stock throttle body. IF your new throttle body doesn't have an extra spot for another cable then get one welded on or something and get a longer line or whatever you have to to make it reach.
or if you have the gte ecu, you can run a gte auto trans and wire up the electronic part (instead of the cable) and that will also do the same thing without the cable going to the throttle body. you have to have the gte auto trans though.

On is300 it's dbw setup, so you must keep the stock vvti tb so the ecu to control the trans properly etc.. just like the gs300 98+ and sc300 98+

yeah thats def right, and if you need a larger than stock DBW throttle body you can grab one off a ls430 and it will plug up to the vvti harness its just v8 size.
