Sc400 Warm Issues, and no spark (Sometimes)
Alright so the background.
MY 91 Sc400 intermittently has starting and hesitation issues, ive done loads of research and found people say its ECU or crank sensor and mass airflow and coils, and plugs all that. Well, It starts perfectly when its cold, or left sitting for awhile, (overnight) it will start perfectly. Spark and all. However upon driving or giving it gas it shoots forward, then stalls and goes fhoomp, and rpms slow down to a stand still, and does it over and over when you try to put your foot on the pedal.
It idles perfectly, never shutting down, only when you give it gas to go it will start to go, then slow down and hiss or w.e and rpms shoot down. The car does not shut off, just loses power. After an hour or so of running and you park, take the key out, and try to start it, no spark. Try to start it, Cranks but nothing. Now here is the kicker, we disconnected the idle control valve and it runs perfectly, no hesitation problems, can floor it and it takes off. However, still no spark after using it for around an hr and when you come back to try and start it. We've bypassed the ECU and still same problem.
Its very frustrating, took it to garage and he said sounds like crank sensor, ordered a new one, and replaced it, no change.
Anyone have similiar problems? I know alot say change and check plugs, but im sure tahts not it. However open to anything. Changed all oil, filter, cleaned airflow sensor, but to no avail.
