I bought my first SC about a month ago for about 1K. The previous owner stated that the o2 sensors were going bad. he also mentioned that they replaced the catalytic converters with universal brand. The way the car ran i figured it was something else. i took to my buddy and found there was no spark in bank 2. changed the ignition coil on bank 2 and got spark on all 8 cylinders. i still had a miss fire and two of the spark plug wires were crossed. After this was done the car ran like a champ compared from the previous 2 days. Now my CEL still comes on with code 52 which is the knock sensors. here is the situation: cold start no CEL, and runs great. While driving, the car hesitates.... feels like the timing Retards to negative and i have to give it some gas to move, and the CEL pops on. i have changed the mass air flow sensor and one of the tps. i have cleaned the air control idler. Can those knock sensors really be the problem. i know its all about the process of elimination but is anybody going through the same problem???? Sorry for the long post but trying to give every detail possible..... PLEASE HELP!!!!!
