Default Fuel pump not working

Okay, so let me start off by saying I have already done the 12v mod, and my car has been running like a dream.

SO, here's the problem, while doing the 12v mod, I decided to extend the two wires about 6 inches, but left them twisted and exposed (for some reason I forgot to put electric tape on them)
THEN I drove to a local store and took a really sharp corner and heard a slight zap in the back, and my car completely took a dump. Fuel pump was the only thing that did not work. (both unexposed lines touched another)

AND that is how I figured, that my fuel issue,

BUT here's the question, does anyone know what I could've done to the car, so far I havent had a chance to fix it, but was just wondering if anyone had an idea on what to do in this situation?

Thanks, Peter.

Double check the fuel pump relay, thats what i would do first, then go checking the fuel pump itself. Thats what I would do.

Is there a specific way i can check the fuel pump?
and i ran into another problem last night, bought a walbro, and looks like it needs an adapter, the person i bought it from told me its a straight drop in, but the walbro has wider male connectors than the stock, Anyone know where i can find an adapter for the clip that clips onto the fuel pump?

And by fuel pump relay are you talking about the EFI relay?
