aftermarket electric fan questions
hey guys i have a question for everyone, ive been noticing that my car starts to overheat a little bit, now that i moved to arizona, i have a new stock koyo radiator with 2 10"inch electric fans, right now the fans r set up inside and both are pulling air into the car, my question is wouldn't it be better if the fans were set infront of the radiator and set to push, so that air is going into the radiator instead of just pulled the heat away form the radiator???... or do i need a bigger radiator since i live in this hot *** desert???.. n e info is appricated

go back to using the oem clutch fan.. seriously
the only fan kit i know of that pulls as much cfm of air as the clutch fan is the aap motorsports kit with dual zirgo fans. and the only point of upgrading to those is that they are nice to look at.
there is a reason why all the high horsepower supras keep the stock fan

I used to believe that the stock fan was superior but i just put two 14 inch fans on my gs300 and it works great and cleaned up the look quite a bit. It was 110 out today and zero problems. Wish i had a nice datalogger to see real time the cooling differences.
what is your idea of overheat a bit? when does it occur? does it bury the needle or just stay at a higher temp??
im in vegas so the weather is very similar to AZ

there was a recent thread on this, and one thing they brought up was that having the stock fan and the plastic undertrays under the engine lowered temps quite a bit... the way i understood it was with out the under trays the air is pretty much just blowing out of the bottom.... and yes the temps were noticed on aem data loggers aka standalone, cant really argue with that.
