Any 1jzgte guys here using an aristo trans or ecu?

strength wise they are actually the same, they both have an extra clutch pack over the non turbo trans used on the 2jz-ge's.
however the aristo is a more sophisticated transmission because of the valve body, it has an electronically controlled line pressure and the ecu monitors the oil temp and adjusts accordingly. the soarer trans does not have these features, so the aristo has more flexibility to keep the trans running optimally
another upside to the aristo trans is you can run the aftermarket torque converters made for the tt supra trans.
also keep in mind you have to run a 2jz-gte auto ecu or standalone to run the aristo trans

Thanks that was exactly what I was looking for as far as info and the main reason I was thinking of going this route was because of the converter choices and the fact I can buy an aristo ecu and harness to run my 1j with the aristo trans.
