Default boost vs police

I'm going to boost but i don't want to boost and then get pulled over and get a ref and bam boost is gone, so i was wondering what experience ppl have with cops and their cars if they got a ref or they were left alone, I'm thinking gte cause it'll be less obvious. although i just want to boost 3-5 for right now.

only way you will get a reff ticket is if you start acting like an idiot by reving your car and smashing everywhere you go.. according to your signature you can still get a reff ticket bc of your "intake/headers" if you get a reff ticket just pay for it its going to be expensive but at least you dont have to put it back to stock..

well i don't do burnouts or donuts or unnecessary revs, I've already gotten my car looked at and they said my C.A.I isn't illegal and i have my header heat wrapped so they can't see if they stock or not, the guy who searched it was one of those cops that got trained to look for that and apparently he said it was ok, but i will say i will get involved in a race here and there.. i thought if u got a ref that meant you HAD TO stock it out no matter what i don't think they'll let u off by just paying it, then again idk? thanks for the input tho

Turbo it. You can drive as fast as you want as long as you only race 0 to speed limit.

Actually, that's not true either but keep the car quiet and the cop attention it receives should be minimal.

i really dont understand what the issue with ref are... dont do stupid **** to get pulled over and dont blow your exhaust notes high enough others can hear them....

i had a 95 240 sx sr20dett (after market twins) pushing just under 500hp to the rear running glass packs and off road only equiptment under the hood .... only thing i ever got a ticket for was excessively tinted windows 2% vlt... which i fought and won.... as the original window sticker indicated factory tint...
