That's not rod knock. It really sounds like one of your exhaust heat shields or some other metal part is vibrating around in the bay, mine made a similar sound when one of the shields on my y-pipe came loose.

I dont think thats a heat-shield. I've had loose heat sheilds on all my SC4's and they sound more like a rattling tin-can. This sounds like more of a heavy solid rattle. To me it sounds more like a loose exhaust pipe itself or something.
Although I guess it can be a heat sheild thats been bent onto something?
Just take it to a shop and have them put it on a lift. Thats the best/easiest way to find out. My shop takes care of things like this for me for free.

Taking the car to my shop today, gonna put it on the lift and see whatsup, jacked it up yesterday but couldn't get far enough under to diagnose the actual problem. Appreciate all the help thank you to all. I hit the exhaust pipe just before it goes up into the engine and hear the noise so I'm definatly thinking that it's loose!
Thanks again guys! I'll keep you updated

wow that does sound like something! :S but not serious, i co-sign with everyone else, it does seem to me as well, it is the heat shield/some loose shielding material, as it makes lots of noise when u go underneath the car! good luck!!
