cooling fan help and is this a mk4 w58

Also I need help on my cooling would a half inch gap between the rad. And the new fan make my car still over heat? If so what can I do to fill in the gap? I was thinking like some sort of foam but idk.if theu make foam or nething else like it to take the heat. I went electric btw.
