If I drive with this "stuttering/sputtering" can I make anything worse?

I have tried every GD thing now. The Shop can't get me back in to take a test drive so I can SHOW them what I am talking about for a few days.

If I drive with the "classic" stuttering sputtering thing, will it break something else?? I HAVE to get around for the next few days and I just don't want to discover that I am doing something that will cause additional THOUSANDS in damage.

If magically someone was to tie both your legs together and told you to walk forward..how much trouble would you have?

I mean, other than the drop in performance, and annoying hesitation and jerkyness, if I drive a bunch like this am I going to blow up the engine or shoot a rod through the hood or some crazy bad damage?

I think I read somewhere that if it is an issue with actually missing on a cylinder(s) that un burnt fuel will be going to the Cats and that will destroy them pretty fast, but I don't know if that's even happening here.
