Default 1995 Lexus SC400 lurching on acceleration

I have a '95 Lexus SC400 that has started to lurch on acceleration to higher speeds. I also feel a loss of power.

I took it to a mechanic and all of the codes are fine. The check engine light is not on and has never been on. The mass airflow sensor looks fine.

I would appreciate it if anyone has any insight into this kind of problem.

Thank you,

Mohamed

Default acceleration

Hey

Check out my post I put up today. If you are getting delays on acceleration, etc., this could be your spark plug wires. Under hard load, acceleration, the impedance of the circuit (coil to spark plug to igniting the fuel) goes up. I had original factory spark plug wires and the connector on the plug wire to the back plug was slowly corroding away. As the corrosion progresses you will start to see the effect you are describing.

Good luck.
