Default 1jz swap and air conditioning help!

For those of you who have a 1jz swap....how did u work with the a/c?? my a/c will blow out cold for like 10 secs. and then shut off and then the a/c light will come on and flash and it will go into a limp mode. I really dont want to put the a./c on a direct power switch, i would rather have it work off the climate control. i noticed there wasnt a "dedicated" thread for this hence the post. any help is appreciated!

I never touched my A/C when I did the swap. Not sure why exactly you did?

Is the pressure switch cutting the current to the clutch? Pressure to high once it starts to compress?

You need a relay wired in under the dash between the ECU and the blower motor connector. PM me for details.

When I did mine, I left the compressor from the ge engine hooked up and in the car, then bolted it to the 1j. I put the pin designated a/c to the same pin on the 1j ecu, then put the pin labeled acmg to the same one on the 1j ecu. Haven't had it cut off yet. When I was using the aristo ecu I wired in a high sensitivity relay to get the compressor to kick on. Is there some kind of code that the a/c light is trying to give you?

Now this thread is getting interesting. Do all the swap 1jz's need to do this. I am running a AEM V2, not a factory ECU. Does this make a difference?

I had A/C before... and still do. Never lost it, never recharged it. It all worked as it did before.

Mine worked briefly when i swapped my engine in initially. Ran into an issue a few months later when my compressor wouldn't come on at all, turns out one of the wires i extended as part of the ECU install worked its way loose and lost connectivity. Working on fixing mine later this week.

Im wondering if there is a difference between years of SCs and how it works. Talk with Dr. Tweak though, he knows better than anyone about these harnesses.

Dr. Tweak seems to be one of the genius on here for the wiring.
