Rear wheel hub removal sc400
I'm trying to remove the rear wheel hub on my sc400. I have removed every arm and the ebrake cables. The only thing holding the hub on is the axle. It can rotate left to right. However, it will not pull off. I've tried a hammer, wd40 and liquid wrench, and even a hub puller (which stripped). The axle didn't budge.
I've heard that the hub and axle are one piece???
I am completely stuck. I'm almost done with my 5 speed swap and this and getting a driveshaft made is the only thing holding me up. Any help or opinions are appreciated! Thanks!

axle and hub can seperate. you remove the axle nut right? SOMETIMES........ they are super tight in there. i work with fwd axles all day and this happends from time to time. i put a ball point hammer on the axle and then use a sledge hammer to hammer it. so i dont damage the axle. BUTTTT you can still damage the axle like that if its super tight in there. GOOD LUUCK
of course you need a friend to hold the ball point hammer and you use the sledge

Yea it's crazy tight and it's not coming loose like any other cv axle has for me. I'm going to try and heat it up next time I go to the shop. Gotta love a car that's as old as me haha

sorry didn't see that you were bringing back a dead thread. i dont remember the size of the axle nut off the top of my head, are you needing a new nut and need to know the thread size and pitch? best bet is go to your local auto store and have them pull an axle off the shelf and check, they come with new nuts too. i ain't going and pulling a wheel off to check for you

From this thread it says its a 32mm. I know its real big, i bought a craftsman set of big sockets right before i took it off. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/suspension-and-brakes/624574-changing-my-rotors-what-size-in-the-hub-nut.html

WTF was toyota thinking when they put this **** together. It is a serious PITA!
I mean everything is put together in the dumbest order, hub after the brakes, really?
After getting everything back together and no amount of pounding will get the hub completely into the bearing.
