Hey everyone,
i got a simple question that maybe it has been answered here before i just couldnt find it.
About two months ago i had a 92 sc300 5 spd, i hit a wall and got totalled.
I recently bought a 97 sc300 but it has the engine light one due to the auto ecu.
Point is, i wanted to know if the ecu i had on 92 would work on the 97?
any help will be appreciated thanks!!

Am not sure if I missed it , but is your 97 SC300 an auto tranny or manual too ? If it is an auto tranny , no , the 1992 manual ecu wont work cause it wont be able to control the auto tranny solenoids. If it is manual , then your 97 is odb2 and the 1992 is odb1 , so you may have some issues too.

It will not work on the 97 due to all the obd2 stuff and probably the immobilizer as well

yea i though it wouldnt work, does anyone know where i can i find a ecu for it (97 manual conv)
Ive tried everywhere but no luck or what other option do i have to get the engine light off?

Ok so finally got my hands on a 96-97 m/t ecu which i needed it for my car which was converted to stick. Now the question is what do i do now, i already replace the auto ecu for the manual but the car is acting weird seems like its going to die on me. Need some help. If any one out there can help me i would really appreciate it.
