The Famous pouring white smoke/gas
My sc has recently started doing the age old pouring white smoke that smells of gas. I took out the ecm and it had a corroded cap, so i got a used one that looked great. Plug in, same jazz. Ive read all the threads on this issue but im wondering if there was ever any OTHER cause to this other than the ecu... I dont want to burn money by buying ecu after ecu until i get a good one.

Did you let the car run for a while after changing the Ecu? It's not going to instantly just clear right up let it run for a while and see if it dies down. Plus your going to need an oil change if the Ecu did cause injectors to stick open.

Does the white smoke smell like gas or like antifreeze? Have you checked the bottom of your oil filler cap for any vaseline-like goop or have any blobs in your overflow reservoir? Heavy white exhaust is typical of blown head gasket.

I took it to the my work today to run tests.
-Replaced plugs and wires, good spark
-good fuel pressure 40/50
-no stuck injectors
-no low compression or leak down
-no vacuum leaks, good smoke test
-oil diluted with GAS
Only thing i can think of left is
1. ecu
2.maf
3.o2
4. coolant temp
the car seems to run fine until open loop upon warm up.
Im starting to doubt all this ECU talk everyone was yelling about here

Your oil was diluted with gas? Should have hooked up a sniffer to the tailpipe to read exactly how rich it was running.
Is your car OBD2? maybe you can look up the short term and long term fuel trims and see how far off they are...
