Heater Control Valve
OK well about a few months ago, my mechanic and I bypassed and removed the heater control valve and rerouted the hoses to makes my heater work thinking my A/C doesn't work, today i tried my A/C and it's cold. question is do I need my heater control valve to run my A/C and is it safe? will it cause and damage to anything? thanks cl. I have a 92 SC400 btw.

Heater control valve controls the heat it opens and closes. Now that it is bypassed if you notice the heat is never really off you can still feel the heat comming out the vents when you drive. As for problems I haven't run into any at all and it's been a whole year like that.
