Default Battery keeps dying

While me car is in project status it spends alot of time sitting. I feel as I have a bad ground somewhere or something small that keeps draining the battery. the battery is brand new as I figured it was a crappy battery. My alternator is good if I go out and run it a for 20 minutes a day it stays charged.. any of you guys know where to look? Lasts about a week if it is sitting

Yeah check for shorts and hot wires. Also if the battery keeps getting drained, its life gets shorter

So what am I looking for in "hot wires" shorts obviously bare wires any damage housing etc. I grew up working on SBC with my dad.. they don't really have wires this is all new to me

Thanks for all the responses guys. I should check and clean all grounds? I'm up in Canada and the car has been winter driven before I believe (lots of bodywork I've done ) so things get pretty dirty here
