why is it "safe" to have 4 feet of oil feed line?

i believe on mine its 30 inches or 2.5 feet. but it goes to the block using one of the 2 oil supply holes already tapped from the factory.

my oil supply is a -4 AN. 30 inches hose from block to turbo
and my return is -10 AN about 2 feet from turbo to aluminum sub pan.

roughly about 200 bux in steel braided lines and fittings. since i run water cooled turbo. those are -6 AN.

Check out youtube and search for turbo oil drain videos. There's a couple videos where the people actually let the oil flow into a bucket or bottle, while the car is running and it's amazing how much oil actually flows out of the drain. It's not a small trickle, it's ALOT and when you rev the motor, it's even more!

This is actually a really cool looking oil drain.

i said safe because he is using the ge block , so the line will either go from the driver side , around the block then to the turbo.
Or from the oil filter housing , then under the oil pan to the turbo .I said safe just to be sure he has enough line.

Cool, it looks as though you might could have a bung welded to the end of it so that you could attach an AN fitting to it or you could use the hose like they show in the pic.

Here are a few shots of my oil setup. Couldn’t find the best pics but you can get the idea lol. I decided to have my feed line go on top of the valve covers through the front plastic cam cover, hides it very nicely. I used an adapter for the oil pressure sensor that has a -4 fitting on it that I used for the turbo feed. That way you know you are getting oil to the turbo by watching the oil pressure gauge in the cluster.

I also relocated the coil filter and added an coil cooler by using a greddy oil filter block that has 4 -10 fittings; feed and return. It also has 2 small ports that can be used for turbo feed or a temp or pressure gauge. I put a pressure gauge in one port.

Biggu why didnt you just completely remove the ugly oil filter thing and put that adapter straight onto the block? Cleans it up and gives a little more room to play with

oil adapter and feed adapter on block

Oil cooler2
Oil cooler3
Greddy filter block
Money/oilfeed shot

hope this helps some!
