Default R154 clutch options?

I have a 2jz with 1jz flywheel and a r154 transmission plans are 400-500hp range and a daily with spirited driving no track or drag...maybe once at a meet
so here is the line up im looking at.

this full face seems to weak:
http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-ts2-hdss.php

aron at DM.com insisted on this clutch but ive never heard of action?
http://store.driftmotion.com/static/...kitforr154.php

this is the same PP ^ but with a Puck disc-maybe good for price?
http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-ts2-hdg6.php

this one seem alot like the DM.com ^ as mentioned above but with a higher price
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...MK3_Turbo/2663

this one has been metioned a few times on suprafourms. but im not sure which feramic clutch there talking about so here is the full face and puck
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...MK3_Turbo/5170

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...MK3_Turbo/7017

im open to other options, i kinda like the ACT HD pressure plate reviews because there not so hard on the thrust bearings of a JZ motor. and a full face would be nice for reduced chattering. id like to stay below the $700 price tag but if its around that or if it means do it right once ill spend a little more i can bend the budget.

P.S multi disc clutches are to far out of budget lol

thank for the help in advance!

I prolly will be ordering my ACT clutch this week. I am going with the one above the ACT posted in the link, rated at 632 foot pounds of torque. I figured I wanted to have enough clutch, if I ever wanted to increase the boost. I have 1JZ, BW S366 turbo, BC stage 2 cams, R154, etc...

I will be going with the ACT stage 4.

The ACT 2600 will hold 550hp on a AWD DSM and is easy on the Thrust bearings.

4g63's crankwalk way more often then a jz.

So with that in mind, up to 2600lb pressure plate clamping force, and full-faced, sprung disks.

No Pucks!

Pucked clutches are for clutch kicking, drifting, and generally a non-linear On/Off switch engagement. Harsh is a good word to describe engagement of a pucked disk, especially one with no springs.

Plus for the early revision 1jz guys with weak thrust bearings, a full-face sprung disk will be much gentler on the crank.

Search AZ clutch setup, something like 700hp on a stock pressure plate and a special disk.

Act is nice , custumer service is great if you have any issues.

I will be trying a Brand new stock PP, brand new stock flywheel, with the HPF feramic on my friend's car it should hold 700RWHP.
he wants the full face, just disc cost more than your average disc $420.00

just got off the phone with snowmanlex about competion stage 4 clutch and he says that there 6 puck is a forgiving clutch with good engagement. also the price goes for about $525-$540
almost convinced on that setup but im going to keep looking for a full face unless there is a puck one that is just as drivable

AND yes id like to stay away from pucks unless its drivable. example starting off on a hill without making a scene.

thank you for the input!!

Wow, pucks sound bad. Wait! Iam running a puck on my) right now. Dailied it for a whole year and no problems. I mean I don't have a lot of hp but my engagement isn't crazy.

Its the clutch system. Hydrolic clutch systems±"sprung" puck discs have the same driving ability as full faced ones from my experience. Non hydrolic setups, now that's a different story.

Yeah that feramic is expensive , i am buying the full face just the disc $420.00 and use the stock PP and that will hold plenty of power.
still feels like stock.

Let us know how that combo works out for you. I know myself and some others are curious.
