Default 1jz or 2jz that is the question...

So i have a 1jzgte completely stock and i'm going to start to build it, but started thinking of going with a 2jzgte instead. Looking to be in the upwards of 650+ hp. what do you guys think. This is only going to be driven in spring and summer.

Thats alot for the 1jzgte but if only driven for a few months, then do it.. everyone on here, most folks will tell you the 2jzgte. I say be different and build up the one you have. It keep the costs down and you know how this motor has been driven... You dont know what you will get when you buy another motor from a impoter.. just my opinion. GOOD LUCK with your decision.

if you already have a 1JZ in the car that runs well then stick with the 1JZ. Not worth it in my eyes to spend the extra $1500+ for another engine when you can still make that power with what you have in the car.

It doesn't matter, cause you have never driven a 500+hp RWD street car!

Even if you did, it still doesn't matter! They both are great engines.

I love that people come in with 16 posts, make a thread with a magic number, and we chime in like it's just another day at the office.
