nope, its a lot different. i started a thread a while back after i found an LSD mk3 diff at my junkyard. i was gonna fab up some mounts. but the axle design is way different, in addition to the mounts, can it be done? yes totally! the axle perdicament would be the hardest detail to overcome. upon lots of research and deliberation, i decided to buy a spare diff, mkiv 4:27 NA diff can be had for <80$, ima weld it up then swap them out when it comes time to get buck. the swapping in an out will be way more conveniant.

i figured the $$ you will spend on the mk3 rear end, the custom fab, custom axles time and headaches. i could buy a couple mkiv rear ends to weld, a couple sets of axles, and tires. haha. but thats my "temp" fix until a supra mkiv LSD finds its way into my garage.

super different. there is a thread that shows the pictures of both rear ends apart. they aren't even close. nothing can be interchanged.

MK3 rear ends fit in IS300s tho.

What is the better solution? OP were you just trying to beef it up or change gearing?

So if it fits the is300, and the is300 diff fits the sc, then in theory shouldn't it wrk?
