Window motor repair
I have a 1992 SC 400 the window motor runs fine I took it apart and found it needs a drive that is made out of plastic,rubber sandwiched between steel to drive the regulator I figure the rebuilders must be able to get them, can anyone help?

They are not expensive enough to justify the time to rebuild them. I do not recall the price but I am going to say you can buy a replacement for $60. That is the window regulator track and drive that it sounds like you are describing. I think you buy the same part when the cable separates. I have done both of mine sometime in the last ten years.

Im in dire need of this part to
I have searched the internet high and low for this part, mainly image searches. Till i finally found a thread on how to repair this part http://www.hiluxsurf.co.uk/showthread.php?t=34758 I personally under stand trying to save the money and replace a simple part like this plus the fact you do not have to take the motor and regulator out to replace this part in be back in business! The problem is i still do not know the name for this part if its universal or where to get it, Can any one help??? this is what the part looks like.

Here is the homade fix for the Problem, but still looking for the part???
. Glue and clamp the pieces back together and leave overnight.
drill and countersink the metal plate in 3 places, and drill and tap the metal section of the rubber spacer / shock absorber, I would suggest 4mm. You can then bolt the rubber and metal sections together for added security. Sorry for the ropey drawing!
