My catch can is empty too after probably 1000miles. Not sure why since I used to pull all sorts of oil into the turbo inlet, but whatever 
I just pointed out that I put coarse mesh in mine because of what Biggu said. It will take MUCH longer for the coarse mesh to break down than fine wool. Plus, fine steel wool tends to be flammable and even though the chances are near zero, I don't want to risk a smoldering fire in my catch can

To keep people from getting hung up on the steel wool comment; When I said steel wool I wasnt referring to super fine 0000 steel wool, more like the mesh that you posted.

There are some catch cans that come with a 15mm and 9mm inlet. I think this could fit piping directly onto the factory connectors on the 1jz on both sides of cam covers?

On a stock 1 j I would recommend keeping the pcv valve on the intake and just suck off the exhaust cover as they are both interconnected by the bypass tube under the coil cover.

ON my 2j I closed up internal ( 2 interconnects) and welded -10's but this is a built 2j with full head port work CP's, Carrillo's,billet mains, L-19's and cold start piston slap till oil reaches temp so I do get higher than norm CC pressure.

Ok and connect this back after the air filter? What about the pipe at the back of the intake manifold can I connect that to the can as well? Problem is most can have.only 2 connections. Sucks.

The part at the rear of the intake (IACV) can be connected at the pipe just before the Turbo inlet or just put a filter on it and forget about it.

I wanted to bump this old thread of mine. I decided to order a JDL Auto Design black catch can. It has 2 -10 input and one -10 for vacuum. I already bought the fittings just waiting on the can itself. It has been over a month and still no signs of it. They said it will be at least another week due to the construction materials. I guess you can't rush quality. I will have my current setup for sale pretty soon if anyone needs what I have now.

I did alot of research and they have top notch quality items. I am excited to see how well this one performs compared to the Morosso one I have now. My current one only catches fuel, no signs of oil the last time I drained it. I guess that is a good thing.
