How much are Torque Converters for sc 400s???
poor college student looking for some extra umph in my SC400. Not looking to sink big time money into the car-as I don't have lots of cash, but looking for some small mods that would help my rwhp.
also, is the stock exhaust holding up alot of flow? how did any of you guys free up some exhaust? what exhaust system... heard that headers were HARD to come by... anyways, sorry about badgering you guys with all these questions, thank you.

Converters range from modified stock ones to billet backing plate units from Precision Industries. A modified stock unit that will lower 0-60mph by about a half second can be purchased direct from PI or at a slight discount from SRT at around $950.
ProTorque (and others) will modify a stock converter. This increases stall, keeps the lockup clutch, looks factory stock if you ask for them to not paint it.
ProTorque charges $395+shg exchange.
