I wish I knew a shop that would do this for a mk3 Supra NA. My brother is dying to find someplace that will do an LSX engine/trans (auto) swap in his 89 Supra. The turbo would just be icing on the cake. We were already considering the 5.3 since it's cheaper than the LS1/2 and any v8 would make that car a great cruiser. The 4.8 never occurred to me.

Plan B would be a 1UZ since they're even cheaper, and other than the physical mounting the rest would be pretty simple to do, even if it's "only" 250 hp. A 1jz/2jz is not an option; he's already had a Mk4 Supra so this one needs to be different.

A lot more of you people should be routing your W/G's into the exhaust too, your are killing that sweet compressor song!

I was gunna hate a little with the GM engine, but this is the best thing in this whole thread!

Minus the awesome 500+ hp with a "Mid-west Plateau" torque curve! Good job!

Nothing new really, I have been extremely busy with work and family. Sorry for not getting back with you on the PM!

I did switch over to E85, I can't wait to get it dialed in and ramp up the boost!

Do you wire it up yourself? Or is it current performance?

Please shed some lights, on what oil pan you are using? etc.. Thanks in advance.

As far as wiring goes - I guess its relative. I've been working on LSx motors for over 12 years which includes probably 10 swaps and 8 OEM LSx Cars/trucks. So, the wiring part has become second nature for me. I'm using a custom truck harness, built myself. E38 ECU (58x crank reluctor) and T42 trans controller. Tuned with EFILive.

I started off running a truck pan, it fits great but hangs too low. I am swapping to a H3 pan. Right now I have the motor out - doing a cam swap, dual springs, LS9 head gaskets, head studs, and a few more mods.... The reason I pulled the motor was to paint the engine bay, install AC, and clean up some misc stuff that I rushed.

Once its all back together I just need to finish up hooking the cluster up. I always monitor with EFILive so I never got around to the gauges (other than the tach).

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks,
David
