**SC400 Crackling Under Acceleration & Stalling Issues**
Sup guys?
Long story short, I had some problems recently with my 92 sc400, it wouldn't go past 60mph and the car doesn't sound like it should be.
So I brought it to a mechanic shop and they replaced the spark plugs (platinum), spark plugs wires, and dist cap rotors.
The car runs much better now and it sounds about right. But right after i took it for a drive out of the shop, the car would stall on the red light and when you stop, you could feel like a vibration as if the car is kicked on the groin. It also wouldn't go pass 70mph and the most noticeable symptom is that it would make this "ticking" and "crackling" noise as I accelerate. The more I press the gas, the louder the ticking is, so i would take it easy on the gas. The car also bogs alot.
So I had few things checked:
-the o2 sensor on the driver's side (downstream, after the cat) is slightly bent due to the debris of the catalytic honeycomb, but according to the mechanic, it shouldn't be a problem.
-checked both ignition coils (left and right) by unplugging each of them while the engine is running. As I unplug each of them, the engine died, which according to my friend that those coils are fine.
So, here I am, stuck with questions. I hope you guys could give me some opinions since I'm pretty tight on budget right now and couldn't afford to spend money on things that aren't need to be replaced.
Thanks for your time and I really really appreciate it.
Sincerely,
David
