Default Auto transmission?

Hello,

Im in the market for an sc300...just curious how solid the auto trannys are in these cars?

Obviously if you change the fluid/filter every 40k miles or so it should last a long time right?

The transmissions in these are excellent. As you suggest, properly serviced they last over 200k for the most part. I have 188k on mine and no problems unlike the 1998-2003 BMW 3, 5 & 7s or the Volvo 70s & 80s of the late 1990s.

They are also dirt cheap to replace if you have a problem because, due to their longevity, there are a lot of good transmissions in the wrecking yards.
