Default car shuts off by itself?

I have 1992 SC 300 with a 2JZ-GTE engine. This started this morning; every time i start my car, it would start but then turns off immediately by itself. I found that whenever i step on the accelerator right when i started my car, i can get it to run; however, when i fully let go of the accelerator, the engine would turn off completely. everything works fine besides that. If anyone have had this problem before, can you let me know what the problem is? what needs to be fixed? Thank you very much.

btw, my first guess has to do with the gas sensor.

Or your Idle Control Valve. Try cleaning the maf sensor, should be easy. If problem persists, might wanna buy a used idle air control valve, or check for vacuum leaks.

It's most likely the fuel pump ECU going out. This should help: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...tures-faq.html

Could be one or multiple of many problems:
Fuel pump
Maf sensor
Iac
Fuel line clogged
Do you have a CEL? If you do, check it and that will give you your issue, that way you don't throw money at non problematic things

Start by cleaning ur maf and iac, running sum seafoam just sum general clean and maintenance

fuel might not be making it to your engine try opening you switch b4 turning the car on and listen for the fuel pump to see if its making some type of sound..... if it doesnt your fuel pump probably went out if it does might wanna flush your fuel lines might be restricted oh and have you checked the fuel injectors?

Im had somewhat the dame problem in my sc4 with the 1uz. It would start then die, and after a couple times of that would run but idle high and would bog down when gas was pressed. Now itll idle fine, but die when being driven lol. Havin it towed to a local repair shop today to have my cats checked and everything cuz it smelled bad when running lol

Start by unplugging the MAF. If it starts and idles roughl, it is not the MAF.If it still dies, it is not the MAF. I know that may seem counterintuitive.

EFI has a master relay, as I recall. A failing relay could cause this. Of course, if I recall incorrectly and it is just a fuse then that is not your problem.

Next, clean the IACV. Check for vacuum leaks.

Are there any codes associated with this?
