Default Fuel pump or worse?

i was driving the car cruising a normal road about 40-45. car stalled no sputtering no draw of power just stalled. had around 1/2 tank. pulled over the car tried to start it again starter went but wouldn't turn over. tried a few minutes later had it running for about 30 seconds then it died again.

so before i go and order a fuel pump. where is it so i can take it out and test it. or do the fuel pump control units ever go? is it even the fuel pump?

thanks

Interested in this as mine did the same thing. Died, cranks over but would not start. I swapped the fuel pump since I had a Walbro sittin in my shop. Now the car starts and revs up like normal for about 5 secs then just dies. I can have the gas pedal on the floor and it dies like im not even pressing it. Any ideas on what it could be?

You tried getting a multimeter on there and checking it is getting volts probably the best thing to try before ripping anything apart.

Check the voltage on what? The fuel pump ECU?

I unplugged the AFM with no change at all, could that be it?

Sorry, Yeah if you check the voltage on the ecu to make sure that is getting power then check the voltage on the pump and make sure that is.

Although if you can unplug your AFM and it makes no difference that could be the problem there. do you know anyone with a spare AFM you could try?

Ok I'll check out the ECU.

I can hear the pump working so I know it's getting juice.

I actually have a Lex AFM on my MK3 Supra so I was planning on trying that one soon. Jus wanted to see if you guys thought that could be it.
