Exclamation need help with my second 1jz swap

Well I pulled my old 1jz out and put my new one in. Motor cranks over but no spark. The fuel pump is working, coil packs are getting power but can't figure out why they don't spark. It also seems that my gauges aren't working also. Im thinking its wiring but not sure where to look. All the fuses test out fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it the same wiring ect? Just swapped the motor? Check the crank sensor and the cam sensors, both will cause that. If the ecm doesnt get the magnetic pulse then it doesnt know to fire/spark or when. If you have the sensors from the other motor, swap them out, takes 20 minutes

its a new harness. My old one was pretty hacked up. I tested the voltage on the crank sensor vs the old crank sensor and they were the same. Might be the cam sensors though. Thank you

Voltage? Just because it shows a reading dont mean the magnetic pickup is working. I dont think it has voltage, i think it is a ohms, no ohms kind of sensor. It has 2 wires i believe, hook a multimeter to each one, and set to ohms and put a magnet/metal to it and then away, it should switch to closed loop and show a reading other than cl or or depending on multimeter, you cant do it while in the car or cranking if you are using a digital one, you need the non digital one with the actual needle, the switching is too fast for a digital one. You can test the cam sensors the same way

Magnetic pickups work on a Ground loop to complete the circuit.

Every revolution, the pickup hits the magnet completing the circuit. On/OFF/On/OFF.

It's funny how we tend to mostly blame failures on the machine first isn't it!?

^^ pretty good description, but its more of a Sin wave, than an on/off sort of thing.
A hall effect or logic sensor is an on/off sensor which is why they are the better choice for aftermarket timing control.
