if already have the engine trans and inter-cooler exhaust ..then it would be much much cheaper the quotes i got were ridiculous that's why im just gonna sell my 400 and get a 300 and go single turbo....much easier less headache...and if you decide to do a manual swap with it i will prob round out to about 10k...

if u are just doing a drop in swap with the right harness and drive shaft pieces. it should cost last than 3 or 4 grand.

but if you are doing an auto to manual swap. its much more.

and if u are going single turbo. even more than that. im up to 11grand with my swap and i started in febuary. still need to finish the upgrades to the motor so i can make my target 500hp

@doomlight you did the work yourself? i told myself if i ever got my hands on a 1j id jus sell it. I much rather do a NA-T. It jus seems to like id be going thru too much jus to say i have a gte swap. 2j gte is a tottally different story. even though anyhow you put it money will be spent.

I saw a thread on SF where this guy did a low budget gte swap but he was super ridiculously lucky with sourcing parts for the low.

yea that's if hes buying the engine himself..if he buys an engine with low compression or the engine knocks on start up their going to charge you 800 to take it out....seen it happen before..if you let a shop do everything its gonna run way over 4 grand.

$3600 and counting....
All DIY including an R154 swap and huge front mount intercooler.

Shop would have royally raped me.
