Default Leaking coolant out of my EGR

Today i pulled up to my girlfriends house as i wait out in the drive way i realize that my temp gauge was moving up slowly, so i turned it the car off and let it sit until she came outside. as i was getting ready to leave i noticed a small cloud of steam roll from under the left side of the hood, so i left the car running popped open the hood and watched as all my coolant came pouring out of my egr. after i got to looking around and noticing that my coolant looked almost like peanut butter and smelling it i'm assuming i blew the head gasket but I am completely lost at this point. not ever have i herd of a car leaking from the egr. if any one knows what the hell is going on please give me some help on this.
