Cams, pipes, and a thin head gasket does not constitute as "Fully Built".

You guys just don't get it.

You are trying to make this seem like rocket science, and that you know what you are talking about.

Both points are erroneous.

It's a V8. Remember? V8's have no problem making power, I don't care how small it is.

The 1UZ has a rod ratio of 1.8, just about perfect for the type of redline we are talking about.

So can we get back on topic now? No? We want to rehash this as much as we can? Ok.

stock vvti compression ratio is 10.5.1.... im not arguing im just typing simple factoids lol

there is a reason his build is worth like 20k, if those "3 bolt ons"(itbs arent really a bolt on type deal) made 400whp by themselves im sure more would do it

also i made the thread lol

That's Ed from V-Eight.com right? His motor is built, not fully built, but it's mildly built.
BTW his car is for sale, since he doesn't want to take it to Germany.

*Sigh*....god. Yes you ARE arguing. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Big money because of the Carbon fiber intake and ITB's. Whatever.

Unsubscribed.

OP I tried. I guess people will delegate that you swap a JZ or something. Mob rule.

No one will ever agree if everyone knows everything.

I guess you are unsubscribed so who cares but you don't need to be an ***. I have a V8 that makes around 400rwhp and I have no intention of going 2jz.

All I am saying is you can't expect to put cams in a 1uz motor with intake exhaust and EMS and expect to be able to rev to 9300rpms (more than once anyway) and make twice the power the motor makes stock.

I'm sure there is way more into that motor than just the items mentioned. Just some guessing - arp studs, high compression pistons, the ENTIRE valve train (not just the cams), major port and polish work, light weight everything, tons of machine work, ect , ect.

I'm actually quite interested in this myself! I've been tossing around the idea of an SC400 drift car project.

the problem is the shim over bucket design on our valve train. I know that cribbj on Lextreme will have his redline decently high. But then again, his bottom end is balanced.
