Default engine shaking after cleaning engine bay

HI,

I have a 92 sc400, last weekend I decided to wash my engine bay with a bottle of degreaser and water pressure. How the car is shaking at idle. I have check all the air holes and everything seem to be in place. Could it be water? If it is water, I have been driving like this for the last 200 miles or so. My thinking is if it is water, I have been driving it enough for the water to evaporate.

At suggestion would be appreciated.

thanks

Yea water certainly got in, just keep driving the car and try to open the hood to dry faster, should run fine after a while. Just don't pressure wash the engine bay again, let the professionals do it. They know what distance and amount is safe and necessary.

Never pressure wash your engine bay. Water enters the engine and engine is not happy anymore.

never ever pressure wash your motor, if it dries out and works fine again, you got lucky, some people have done some serious damage to their motors with a pressure washer

Yup, spark plugs. Try cleaning them out and/or drying them. Should solve your issue.

But I have been driving for almost about 200+ miles already. Shouldn't the water be gone already?

Depends how much water got in there. If it was a little water the spark would have evaporated it by now, but a lot of water can foul your plugs.

Usually the water would have evaporated by now. You might have a lot of water in there.

Yeap, guess I did have water in the spark plugs. Drove the car for another 100 miles or so and now it is back to normal, no more shaking.

thanks for the inputs/suggestion
