you could always take a road trip to vegas and do the pre-test out of state.

Ali, if I ever feel I have to in the future that is exactly what I will do. Thank you.

I'm just a bit irked that I've made a lot of effort to play by the rules and be a diligent car owner, yet despite this, the state still got more information than I wanted them to have. Smog certainly is a game meant to trick honest people-- especially honest people with classic cars built after 1973. I don't blame anyone here for finding creative ways to do what they want to their engines if they can afford the time and money to deal with the nonsense.
