Default gte swap

Im working on getting my swap ready to put in car couple questions for some of yall that have done it. And gone single.
1 did yall delete water lines going to intake
2 did you use the ge or gte water line off the water pump .leave the gte and it retains the oil cooler.
3 where did you install map sensor. I have a three bar to put in and im thinking in intake mani where oem pressure sensor is.
4 did you have to remove all the piping on driver side to plum the inter cooler piping. I think this is power steering cooling piping. Not sure
.any imput be appreciated

tranny getrag 6 speed

before motor came out

ge motor out

broken motor mounts

interior before pulled center console

computer removed
will post more later

Not just a usual swap i shooting for 700 hp so i have some extra money tied up in six speed and computer and bigger injectors fuel rail two fuel pumps fuel regulator and other misc stuff. But if you do all of it your self it can be done cheaper ..like your wiring if you can do this it will save you big last i seen harness from tweak come back was 1400 just for wiring. So it can add up pretty quick.

I think you can just slightly bend the p/s steering line from what I've seen others document. I will be running my piping in the next couple of days and will update it on my build, I'll let u know how it goes.

I would say leave the gte water pipe to keep the oil cooler. For the intercooler piping, i believe if you run 2.5" you will not have to modify or bend the pipes in any way.

Good luck on the build cant wait to see the finished product. Wise decision of you to go with a single turbo right off the bat. The twins can be a pain to remove while the engine is in the car.

I had the same issue i pulled out all the bolts but that thing wouldnt budge. Silicone does a real good job of keeping things together. I had to use a knife, razor blades, and a rubber mallet to get the upper oil pan off.

Make sure you get the bolts towards the very rear of the pan on the outside. They kinda hide behind the raised ribs where it starts to flare out for the bell housing. I missed them the first time and couldn't figure out why the pan would not break loose. Once I found and removed them it popped right off.
