Replaced alternator, I know it works but it is not charging the battery
Car wont stay running when cable is disconnected. Is there an in
line fuse? What might be the problem.

please dont disconnect battery while running ,, the toyota ecu are not friendly to this old school method and you can fry capacitors within ecu ... use a multimeter to check for voltage while car is running instead.. you should see min 13.5 volts with car running .. on a cold car you should see close to or just above 14 volts as alternator gets hot voltage usually drops between 13,6 -13,9 for a good alternator
