This is true.

My diff has the staggered plate configuration with 250 ft/lbs breakaway torque.

Minor mods for a plentiful diff, with rebuild capability all while being OEM.

These are the threads that I really enjoy reading.. People saying it cant possibly be done, some say it can with all the correct modifications and time, then BAMMM.. Someone actually tries it and it is real close to being a success. Prolly more close than people thought.. Great info!!

Kudos for trying to make the "impossible" happen I am still a skeptic but in for the results! I think for the time and effort spent fabricating it to work you should sell the mk3 lsd to an is300 owner on here and pickup a mk4! but I hope you can prove all of us nay-sayers wrong

MKIV would be a good idea if they weren't a thousand dollars!

I also recently confirmed that the SC300 axles are too long to fit into the MKIII carrier, so they have to be cut down similar to a Cressida conversion.

SO to recap

1.Axles fit the splines, but are too long and have to be cut down.

2. Mounting the pumpkin requires new mount locations.

3. Driveshaft flange needs to be swapped/adapted.

I am in the middle of a breakthrough! (Another one!)

Can someone please get a MKIII Turbo rear axle and count the outer splines going into the WHEEL HUB?

If this matches, then all you have to do is snap in MKIII Axles!

I have confirmed that the Inners and outers of all 8" diffs are 30 spline!

I have a set of MKIII axles coming to fully verify.

Also if everything works out well one of should have a cnc bracket made to make this a plug and play for everyone of us.

I may have a connection on that if it came down to it.

I think the only thing needed to make it plug and play would be:

-Front diff mounting Ear adapters, to make the front of the diff bolt into the sc sub frame.

-Driveshaft flange adapter.

G-Code 8" MKIIII LSD in a SC300 pumpkin. All that needs to be fabbed, is bearing spacers to hold the diff in, and for correct gear lash.

Cover looks like it will clear too!
