Default Changed fuel filter-what a mess.

Car has 130K miles. The car came from the East coast and the nuts were solidly rusted. Turning the wrench twisted the hard lines like a straw.

Had to cut the hard lines about 1" back on each side and used 5/8" fuel line hose and clamps with adapters into the filter itself.

Tried to find the fuel pump relay in the engine bay fusebox, but MAIN, EFI, and something else that sounded fuel related all prevented the car from turning over so unless I'm mistaken, there's no direct fuel pump fuse/relay. About 1/2 quart of gas leaked out. If you want to try to reduce the fuel lost, then people here suggest directly unplugging the pump and running the engine till it dies a couple times. There's still a lot of fuel in the filter housing itself.

The gas that came out of the filter was like dirt! We put it on a band saw and cut it open to see what it looked like. I didn't know that it's basically tightly rolled up cardboard. It was really dirty.

I put in injector cleaner with about 1 gallon in the tank and drive 20 miles. I didn't notice anything drastic, maybe seemed like the car wasn't working so hard to accelerate? I dunno.
