ok after staring at a debate on fuel pumps on the supra forums it seems like there is no straight answer to what is the best pump for your goal.. so this thread is for everyone to drop there 2 cents in about previous/current fuel setups and how they are holding up or reason for throwing them out...

Now to start off i have a single walbro 255lph good for 500hp not sure if that's pump gas. looking at the aeromotive 340 stealth so far i seen good and bad about this pump and don't know how i feel about it since it's said that they flow just like the walbro and they have a heating issue when ran back to back on the dyno...

i heard/read 570 whp on e85 on a single aeromotive 340

I have one walbro in tank but i am thinking about adding the bosch inline or just go all out on the pump.So the bosch gets my vote.

I have walbro 255 when it works it works good, but mine is having problems and shut off whenever it want, also is noisy, my car made 400whp, I am thinking the bosh or denso but they are expensive.

I have a Walbro intank feeding a Bosch044 inline with -8 feed, 1600cc injectors. I've had the Walbro for almost 5 years believe it or not, the Bosch044 was installed last year along with lines/injectors. Setup was stock before then minus the Walbro. I'm on pump gas and close to 500hp and at 38% duty cycle. The bosch 044 does the majority of the work on my system.

so is it safe to say with a 38% duty cycle you have enough fuel to feed 800+ hp?

I've had experience with Densos as well as the Walbros. Back in 2006, when I first did my build I had two Denso pumps and they seemed to work well with no issues and the best part about them were they were much quieter than the Walbros.

I switched out the Densos in 2007-2008 for the Walbros and other than them being louder haven't had an issue with them to this date.

Now, with my current build we've decided to go an entirely different route. I've installed two of the DeatschWerks intank fuel pumps which seem to be getting a lot of hype down here. They've been around since 2004 and seem to make a good product. They're E-85 compatible and outflow the Walbro by far and have also outflowed the Bosch pumps. I've seen where one pump have recently made 500+ whp on E-85 on an Evo that Alpha tuned a few weeks ago. I'll let you know what type of results I have in about a week with my set up.

The Walbroflows 255 lph and the Bosch flows about 300 lph.

I have a single walbro 255 in-tank and although it seems to move fuel with no issues, it is LOUD. I hate it, and plan to replace it with a Denso as soon as funds allow.

So does the DeatschWerks intank fuel pump mount and install identical to any other intank walboro or denso pump? Can 2 be mounted intank?

Looks like these guys are easily netting 550whp-600whp with one pump on e85!

I always heard that the 255's were good for 500hp, and my talon was easily making 450whp with a single walboro 255lph.

i recently caught on to the hype...

the only fuel pumps putting out 340LPH is the aeromotive and fullblown... i think i'm feeling the fullblown because i haven't heard anything bad about them yet.. and i only need 1 pump to get me almost 600whp on race fuel

The areomotive one is where its at. The subarus and EVOS run them all day. Looking at the specs they don't drop off like the 255lph WB's.

i got this statement from the supra Forums:

I got to try one of these pumps last night on the dyno and I am HIGHLY disappointed with it so far.

Test setup: 2.5L v6, 850cc Injectors, Aeromotive 340lph pump, stand alone, PTE 6765.

We were at our local dyno (STP Motorpsorts) last week with a single walbro 255HP in tank and were running out of fuel right around 500whp. Ok figured it is time for a 2nd pump, no big deal, but then saw these 340lph pumps! There flow is higher at every pressure compared to the walbro 255HP so we figured why not. Put in the Aeromotive pump (these are exceptionally quieter than the Walbro255HP) and it runs out of fuel in the EXACT same place (500whp). At this point we upgrade the wiring while on the dyno and that gave us 1-2 points of fuel back up top! Great. That probably would have helped the walbro out as well.

We do a few back to back (few minutes of resting between) and as the pump heated up the flow just DIVED. I could let the car sit (and we did) for roughly 10+ minutes and do a pull and it went way rich again. If I didn't allow for any significant downtime the flow would fall off. We fought with it for a good 2+ hours and got the same repeated results. I have datalogs of each run and nothing went crazy. Same injector duty cycles, same intake/coolant temps, same timing, same fuel pressures....

For now I'm keeping my Walbros.

don't get me wrong guys... thats just a few peoples issues with the aeromotive pumps...
i'm not trying to be negative and turn people away... i have also read that some people are extremely happy with the aeromotive pump and they also stated that they do exactly what the advertise to do... with that being said i am still looking into the aeromotive...

S.N:theres a guy putting 1152WHP@37psi with 3 aeromotive pumps (with room to grow)

and to be completely honest i never heard of full blown till last week so i don't really know if they are worthy so this is a discussion that will take time to figure out

Just add another walbro pump and upgrade the main power supply and fuse.

Any higher than that you need to replace the fuel line for a larger diameter to allow for the extra fuel.
