I was wondering if any ford or chevy rear ends could be adapted to the SC300? Supra diffs are so pricey and welding isn't a good idea from what I hear so I'm looking for other options
just weld it. i did it to mine and its really not that bad as everyone says on here. ive got straight pipes so i dont even hear the tires chirping. yeah alil understeer but its not bad. and i have a spare junkyard diff and axles just incase.
I was wonder the same thing about this,
I seen a Supra that was for sale on autotrader.com a while back, that claimed to have a 9in ford rear, but I dont know how expensive, the difficulty in doing it, or how true the claim was either.
Solid rear is not that expensive at all dude. I'm not an expert, but i've built two 4 link rear ends and it's not that hard. If you have access to welder and some scrap steel, it could be done for under a grand.
