Default Loss of power after installing new mufflers

I recently installed new mufflers (tanabe medalion) and I realized that there was a heavy loss of power in the low range. I've researched this alot and it may be due to pipe size; however, the pipe size is 2.25" crush bent. I've noticed a loss of gas mileage too, not due to any lead foot or anything after installation. Anyone ever had this situation?

If Tanabe's are free flow muflers, then that is your problem. Its more back pressure loss from restrictive muflers and resonators ,not much from the piping.
