Rear wheel bearing
Sorry if this has been answered before. I have searched the forums a few times, but I have not found the answer. Does anyone have information on How to change the rear wheel bearing on a 94 Sc300.

Basic idea, remove tire, brake caliper, rotor, take out rear axle, remove wheel speed sensor, this part depends on how you want to do it.
Correct way is take off all the drum brake things and disconnect the hub assembly from the car and take it to a machine shop have then press it out and press the new one in. Reinstall everything in reverse.
Broke mans way, remove the wheel hub by using a slide hammer, then, take off the c clip that's keeping the bearing in place, then get under the car and get a big socket that is almost the size of the bearing and start beating it out with a hammer, once it comes out, clean it and do the same thing to get the new one in and install everything in reverse, now this way is the ghetto way but saved a lot of stuff from being taken off as it's always a pain the take the whole assembly off. Works just as well if anything I'm guessing the bearings won't last as long due to beating it back in there. But it works. If you do alot of high speed passes like me I replace all my bearing anyway at the first sign of if wobbly or humming.
Good luck

I posted the same question on the SC430 board; I have an 02 SC430 and I need to change my right rear wheel bearing. Is it the same process, I assume? I was hoping I wouldn't have to take it somewhere or use a hydraulic press. If that's the case, I may just have it done at the toyota or lexus dealership.
